Xavier de Eizaguirre was previously Managing Director and Member of the Management Board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild. He lived in New York for ten years, before travelling around the world, especially in Asia. His energy, professionalism and his familiarity with international markets will enable Vinexpo Overseas to hold on to its leadership and ensure that the subsidiary continues to develop in Asia-Pacific.

Xavier de Eizaguirre succeeds Dominique Hériard Dubreuil, who was Chairman of Vinexpo Asia-Pacific from 2001 to 2012.

Since June 2008, Xavier de Eizaguirre has also been Chairman of Vinexpo Bordeaux.

About Vinexpo and Vinexpo Asia-Pacific

Founded in 1981, Vinexpo has established itself over the years as the foremost world-class exhibition for professionals of the wine and spirits sector. It is held in Bordeaux, France every odd-numbered year and gathers 50,000 professional visitors, who travel from 135 countries and 2,400 exhibitors, who represent 45 producer countries.
In parallel every even-numbered year, Vinexpo Overseas, a subsidiary of Vinexpo, organises Vinexpo Asia-Pacific or Vinexpo Americas exhibitions. In 1998, the first Vinexpo Asia-Pacific was held in Hong Kong, followed by two more in 2000 and 2002 in Tokyo. Vinexpo Americas took place in 2002 in New York and in 2004 in Chicago. Since 2006, Vinexpo Asia-Pacific has been held in Hong Kong every two years and has become the essential industry exhibition throughout Asia. The next Vinexpo Asia-Pacific has been scheduled from 27 to 29 May 2014.
