Paris, June 2022: The general meeting of FIJEV, the largest international wine and spirits journalists’ association, took place for the first time this year online via video conference – as did the board elections. New members of the board are Azélina Jaboulet-Vercherre from France, Sol Gradman from Israel, and Oscar Pinco from Argentina. The current Chairman Wolfgang Junglas from Germany was confirmed in office for another four years, as was the Secretary General Anne Meglioli from Italy. Sol Gradman from Israel was elected as Vice President.
The new board sees the digital transformation of the association as a priority goal. The visibility of the association is also to be strengthened. After the end of the travel restrictions due to the pandemic, the association will increasingly go on press trips to international wine-growing regions again. The cooperation with the leading wine fairs will also be continued. It is planned to expand the range of webinars offered by qualified association members as lecturers. Wine talks will also continue to be offered and published on the association’s YouTube channel.
