The Primum Familiae Vini members are delighted to be supporting The Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Wine Dinner and Auction by donating a unique lot – the Primum Familiae Vini Passport and the special mahogany collection case.

The Primum Familiae Vini special mahogany Collection Case contains one bottle of the finest flagship wine of each member, currently available. The collection case has been presented in the past to selected world leaders including H.M. King Juan Carlos 1 of Spain and H.M. King Carl Gustaf XVI of Sweden.

In addition, the successful bidder will be given a passport for two, to visit each great wine estate of the eleven members, for an in-depth tasting and tour followed by lunch.

The Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Wine Dinner and Auction will take place at Vintners’ Hall on Tuesday 7 October 2014. A silent auction will provide entertainment throughout the evening, the highlight being the live auction which will follow a theme of fun and discovery, with wine, food and travel linking them. Before this event, please visitwww.mariecurie-wineauction.co.uk for the opportunity to place pre-event bids on the exciting selection of live and silent auction lots. Do also encourage family and friends who may be interested in any of these lots to visit the site and bid as well.

Other eye-catching lots include:

• A professional wine tasting with Jancis Robinson OBE MW to be followed by lunch at her son’s restaurant, The Quality Chop House in Clerkenwell, a copy of her latest book Wine Grapes and one year’s subscription to her website.
• A gourmet lunch for twelve people cooked by Bruce Poole of Michelin-starred Chez Bruce, with specially chosen fine wines, to be held in Moet-Hennessy’s private London dining room.
• A private dinner party for six people at the Garrick Club, hosted by Hugh Johnson OBE, with accompanying fine wines specially selected by Hugh.
• A tempting variety of cases of fine wines such as Ch. Langoa Barton 1996, Corton-Charlemagne, Bonneau du Martray 2004, a Jeroboam of Pol Roger 1996 and other large formats.

We are extremely grateful to all the supporters of this event. Your support by bidding in the auction will in turn allow Marie Curie Cancer Care to expand their nursing service in London and to help terminally ill patients and their families.

Be generous to yourself when you bid – and to the end-of-life patients whom Marie Curie Cancer Care will be able to look after at home supported by their families, providing them with free hands-on care and emotional support.
