Portuguese Wines and the main wine regions will be represented by 75 producers at the first edition of Vinexpo Paris, from Monday, February 10th to Wednesday, February 12th.
Portugal remains one of the most exciting winegrowing countries in the world and is among the top 5 European exporting countries. Total Portuguese wine exports rose three percent in 2018 to a record of 803 million euros.
France is the first worldwide destination of Portuguese. The other main traditional markets for Portuguese wines are the USA, UK, Brazil and Belgium. Noteworthy is the growth in export value compared to last year in the United States (+ 7.9%), United Kingdom (+ 22.4%), and Germany (+ 2.5%) markets.
The Wines of Portugal booth at Vinexpo Paris hosts producers from all the main wine regions – Vinho Verde, Porto and Douro, Dão, Bairrada, Alentejo, Lisboa, Tejo, Península de Setúbal, Algarve and Madeira.
A free tasting zone to discover whites “that stand out from the crowd”, with unique characteristics thanks to its 116 native white grape varieties.
