25th anniversary of the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion inscription on the World Heritage List, European Heritage Days and Harvest Proclamation
On September, 21st and 22nd 2024, the Saint-Emilion vineyard will celebrate a quarter-century as a World Heritage Site.To mark the European Heritage Days, the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion invites you to (re)discover the beauty of its world-famous vineyard landscapes during a weekend of festivities! With tours of the medieval town, events for all ages,a round-table discussion on the three French vineyards listed by Unesco, an exceptional Masterclass, walks through the vineyards, Heritage Night, a torchlight parade and fireworks display, and the Jurade de Saint-Emilion’s not-to-be-missed Harvest Proclamation, this weekend promises to be an exciting one!
ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION – 3 ENLISTED VINEYARDS AND THEIR CHALLENGES
Guests of honour of this weekend, the vineyards of Burgundy and Champagne are joining the Wines of Saint-Emilionto discuss the challenges they face: adapting to climate change, the environmental issues, preserving culturallandscapes, architecture, wine tourism, etc.
This round table, led by Jacques Olivier Pesme, Executive Director of Wine Origins Alliance, is an opportunity todiscuss and debate the practices and innovations implemented by each party.
