Tasting Zone and FIZZZ Lounge Themes Now Selected
23 to 25 March 2014 will see the holding of ProWein 2014 in Düsseldorf. Some 4,800 exhibitors from 50 nations will present their ranges here to the expected 45,000 trade visitors from throughout the world. Alongside the international range of exhibitors, the supporting programme also generates great interest every year. Highlights here include the central Tasting Zone and the FIZZZ Lounge which both have a new motto this year. The themes for 2014 have now also been decided.
Organised in cooperation with the trade journal “Weinwirtschaft” (from publishing house Meininger Verlag) the central Tasting Zone structures the comprehensive range from ProWein exhibitors under one focal theme. This area offers an additional presence at the fair for exhibitors and traditionally provides valuable pointers for visitors. In 2014 the motto reads “Premium Wines – Best Quality, Best Price”. What is interesting about this theme is that the producers themselves are the ones who decide what constitutes a premium wine. They merely have to prove themselves on the market. Here value for money plays a decisive role and whether this convinces consumers. The central tasting Zone at ProWein 2014 gives visitors from the retail and restaurant trade an international overview of this exciting segment of the wine market.
“Spirits meet Vegetables” in the FIZZZ Lounge
Ever year ProWein’s spirits hall is home to the FIZZZ Lounge that puts current bar trends into the limelight presenting them live to trade visitors – who can watch and obviously then also taste the drinks. At ProWein 2014 current world record holder in team cocktail-mixing Thomas Weinberger from Barschule München will be presenting innovative “Garden Drinks” – combos of spirits with fresh vegetable juices – for instance radish, beetroot, carrot or cucumber.
“wine’s best friends” New in Hall 7.1
The supporting programme at ProWein will be complemented by the special delicatessen show “wine’s best friends” plus over 300 tasting sessions and seminars held during the trade fair. In 2014 “wine’s best friends” will be moving nearer to the North Entrance, to Hall 7.1, which is also home to the ProWein Forum – the central seminar area. Awaiting visitors at both the ProWein Forum and right at exhibitors’ stands will be a varied mix of theme-related tasting sessions and lectures on markets and trends. Presented at the former location of “wine’s best friends” in the gallery in Hall 6 will be international suppliers of organic wines in the “World of Organic Wine”.
ProWein 2014 will be held in Düsseldorf from 23 to 25 March. Ticket sales from the Online Shop at www.prowein.de are planned to start at the end of 2013.
